Afternoon activities at The Hub

The majority of our activities run a
drop in option for P50 (except for the courses) though Glee Club and Hip Hop
have a cheaper, termly fee also. Read on for a breakdown of the different
activities we offer each week.

the Mid-line: (Primary,
Mondays, 3pm, a 6 week course starting 21st May, booking only)
Quite possibly the only
handwriting club where you will never pick up a pencil! Combining fitness, sensory
play and specific movements designed to cross the mid-line to develop a child's
body awareness as well as the gross & fine motor skills and muscular strength
required for handwriting.
Yogabees:
(Mondays 4:30pm – and
Tuesdays 10am for pre-school)
Creative yoga adventures
with Kirsty to improve their flexibility and body awareness. The perfect class for enabling them with some of their own tools for calming down and mindfulness which can be perfect for incorporating into a bedtime routine.
Investigating, experimenting and exploring through
the themes of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. Perfect for the young
scientist or curious investigator. http://abeehoneycomb.blogspot.com/2018/02/what-is-stem.html
Glee
Club: (Primary, Tuesdays 3:30pm)
Glee Club is all about the singing and the drama - perfect for the aspiring
performer and each term builds to a final performance for parents and family
members to enjoy
Funky
Fit: (Primary –
parents welcome too! Tuesdays 4:30pm)
An energetic, engaging
session for children (and parents) to have some fun while exercising as our
Fitness Director, Phillida, puts them through their paces.
Loose
Parts & Messy Play: (All
ages, Wednesdays 2:15-4:15pm – also on a Wednesday morning for preschool)
Awaken your child's
senses, stimulate their curiosity and imagination with colour, texture and
mess! Great for developing their sensory awareness, fine motor skills and
developing their imaginative play. (And you don't have to clear up afterwards!)

The chance for young author illustrators to write,
illustrate, publish and see in print their own story. Each week we cover writing, illustrating, editing
and finally publishing a book and the different ways in which this can be done, Course price includes a printed copy of their book and an invitation to be a part of the book launch.
Tiny Town is open for the sole use of children with differing needs and learning challenges and their siblings. We get out some of our soft play and sensory toys and have head phones available for those with noise sensitivity. It is all available for the usual Tiny Town price of P50.
Zine

Zines are homemade
publications and they can be about anything you are interested in which make
them a great vehicle for self-expression. All ages and abilities welcome
whether your zine is an opportunity for your little one to practice mark
making, draw their favourite vehicles, write a comic strip or create an
informative zine on their favourite topics. Materials provided.
